A great resource for reporting, sharing, and finding bird sightings at home or around the world is There is also an ebird phone app available for both Android and IOS(Apple) phones. The website is managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Another great birding resource is the Merlin Bird ID smartphone app, also from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Merlin is designed to be a birding coach for beginning and intermediate bird watchers.
