Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s website (allaboutbirds.org) is a free online resource about bird identification, sounds and songs, feeding, and much more.

A great resource for reporting, sharing, and finding bird sightings at home or around the world is ebird.org. There is also an ebird phone app available for both Android and IOS(Apple) phones. The ebird.org website is managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Another great birding resource is the Merlin Bird ID smartphone app, also from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Merlin is designed to be a birding coach for beginning and intermediate bird watchers. Merlin contains photos, text, and audios of your local birds or birds from around the world. For a detailed description of this app and instructions for using it go to merlin.allaboutbirds.org.
